Our Client is a major provider of specialist transport services in the industrial, chemical and petroleum sectors. With a substantial fleet of bespoke vehicles and increased contract activity, the business prides itself on quality, safety and customer service in an highly competitive low margin arena.

Role Duties:
Reporting to a General Manager and with daily operational and customer contact, the job holder will be fully responsible for the efficient management of the fleet and for adherence to costs, service KPIs and the SLA. He/she will lead and motivate a substantial number of subordinates ensuring for harmonious employee relationships. You will also manage the subcontractor base and seek additional savings and efficiencies. In style, a proactive manager, with a strong commercial focus.

Candidate Requirements:
Certainly a graduate with CPC (International) your background to date will have encompassed management of large mixed transport operations from within a 3PL environment. You will be an inspirational leader and team builder with a passion for safety, hygiene and efficient running. Proven customer commercial relationship skills are essential as is your passion for continuous improvement.
