Our Client is a substantial, profitable provider of specialist business services in the petroleum and chemical sectors. With an enviable list of blue-chip customers and growing international presence, the business prides itself on innovation, customer service and people engagement in an disparate multi site environment. This role will add further impetus to the Board.

Role Duties:
Reporting directly to the UK MD and with a team of HR advisers, your principal remit will be the development and implementation of a proactive HR plan, taking account of the importance of people engagement. You will manage the IR agenda in an highly unionised environment and ensure for an ongoing “sense-check” of all people matters including culture and best working practices. Naturally, you will have additional responsibilities for training, safety, labour law, L & D, organisational development and succession planning.

Candidate Requirements:
Certainly IPD qualified and of graduate calibre, your HR experience to date will have encompassed experience in a private sector unionised business, preferably logistics or manufacturing. You will provide evidence of the ability to influence the people agenda and to make a contribution to the broader business agenda. In style, you will be credible, analytical, numerate, literate with high energy and integrity. This is both an operational and strategic role.
