Administrator - Distribution Support

Salary & Benefits: upto circa £19,000 p/a + Benefits
Our client; a well-established UK & International haulage business, is looking to recruit an Administrator, to support their distribution operations, on a permanent basis. This person will be responsible for assisting and supporting their Distribution Co-ordinator with administrative tasks on a daily basis. They are offering a competitive remuneration package inclusive of salary and benefits.

Reporting to the Distribution Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for:

- Liaising with the Distribution Co-ordinator to plan the distribution operations.
- Identifying vehicles released for delivery and passing these onto the relevant parties.
- Booking shipments with third party freight suppliers in accordance with pre-determined routings.
- Entering all the planning information onto the operating system.
- Preparing daily stock / planning reports submitting these to the client and other stakeholders.
- Liaising with the client and stakeholders, as and when necessary, by e-mail or telephone.
- Ensuring prompt and accurate filing of all documentation.
- Additionally, you will be expected to assist the warehouse team on occasions. This may involve container loading and unloading, bookings stock in / out and general warehouse duties.

Please note:

- Whilst most of you time will be spent at the company’s distribution centre you will be required to travel to their Oxfordshire site on a regular basis, which is approximately 25 miles away.

Qualifications and Experience:

- It is essential that this person has strong skills in organisation, communication and has a high attention to detail.
- Due to the traveling involved you will need a full UK driving licence and your own transport.
- Must have previous administrative experience and ideally have prior customer facing experience.
- Previous experience in stock management or logistics planning is desirable, but by no means essential.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
